ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday confirmed death sentences awarded to 10 hardcore terrorists involved in heinous offences related to terrorism, killing of innocent civilians and attack
s on law enforcement agencies.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), t
he terrorists have been convicted for involvement in killing of a total of 62 persons, including five civilians, 11 police officials and 46 security personnel. They also include terrorists who killed renowned Qawwal Amjad Farid Sabri. Besides, five convicts have als
o been awarded jail terms.
According to details, Ishaq S/O Ibrahim and Asim S/O Abdul Rehman, members of a proscribed organization, were involved in killing of renowned Qawwal Amjad Farid Sabri as well as attack
s on law enforcement agencies, which resulted in death of 17 officials. Arish Khan S/O Aslam, also member of a proscribed organization, was involved i
n attack on Pearl Continental Hotel in Peshawar, which resulted in death of four people. He was awarded death sentence.

s on law enforcement agencies, which resulted in death of Lt Col Yousaf, Assistant District Officer (Frontier Constabulary) Karim Khan, Naib Subedar Fazal Wahid, Naib Subedar Fayaz and 16 soldiers.

s on law enforcement agencies, which resulted in death of Lt Col Anwar Abbas alon
g with three soldiers.
Fayyaz S/O Gul Faraz, member of a proscribed organization, was involved i
n attacks on armed forces, which resulted in death of Naib Subedar Fateh, Havildar Pervez Iqbal, Havildar Basharat, police constable Saleem Khan and four other soldiers.
