KARACHI:Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah ordered the Population Welfare Department to auction off 64 family planning vehicles which had been planned to be used in family planning drives.
The vehicles, which had been equipped with a
small operation theater and other related facilities,were provided by the federal government about six year
s ago.
The relevant minister informed the CM that the vehicles were not s
trong enough to move in rura
l areas while carrying the l
oad of a
small operation theater and related facilities. Therefore, the purpose could not be achieved.
