FAISALABAD: The government has decided to constitute scrutiny com
mittees for checking of transport company vehicles at district level. A spokesman for the local a

ed on Monday that the district collector would work as chairma
n of the scrutiny com
mittee.
The com
mittee will check the security system of transport companies, and the provision of physical security to the passengers. It will also check the lighti
ng system, communication system, rescue facilities and installation of security gadgets in vehicles as well as at transport stands. The scrutiny com
mittee would also compile a comprehensive report and send it to the Provincial Home Department for further action, for improvement in security in transport companies, the spokesman added.
